A single event and continuous hydrologic model based on the principles of HYMO (Williams and Hann, 1973) and its successors, OTTHYMO-83 (Wisner and P'ng, 1983) and OTTHYMO-89 (Wisner, Sabourin, and Alperin, 1989). In addition to many practical improvements, SWMHYMO introduces continuous simulation capabilities.

STORMS

With STORMS 2000 you can create design storms in seconds (Chicago, SCS, AES, Huff, User defined). Find the closest meteorological station to your project from a database of more than 1200 Canadian stations. Create your own database of IDF curves or generate your own IDF curves or update old ones using the GEV distribution. (the same as Environment Canada). The program also determines the return period of observed events and plots storm data or IDF curves on report ready charts. Compatible with SWMHYMO and OTTHYMO-89.

NOTE:  The database provided with STORMS 2000 includes a list of Canadians stations with their location (Lat, Long) for which IDF data is available.  The database is not provided with the actual rainfall statistics or IDF data.  This data must be entered by the user.

Manning's Calculator

Manning's Calculator is a hydraulic engineering/open channel flow utility that can be used to calculate any variable in Manning's Equation, for most channel geometries and for various input and output units.

Manning's Calculator can save an engineer, hydrologist, technologist or technician hours of time, by instantly solving complex iterative equations.
